Women for Women Fund History

The Women for Women Fund was established in 2014 by Scott County Women who made donations to build a permanently endowed fund to support local programs focused on improving the quality of life and opportunity for Scott Community women and girls.  Their vision, commitment and passion have supported annual grants to enable women and girls to succeed in our community.The Women for Women Fund allows dedicated and engaged women to make a difference in the lives of Women and girls without a significant time or financial commitment!

Women for Women Mission

The Women for Women Fund was created with the purpose that Scott Community women will commit to an annual contribution of $100 or more to build a permanently endowed fund that focuses on improving the quality of life and opportunity for Scott Community girls and women. The Women for Women Fund is dedicated to increasing support for programs serving women and girls. The Women for Women Fund awards grant funding to programs that support:
1. Promotion of health and well-being for women and girls.
2. Enhancing the lives of women and girls through improving the educational, social, cultural, health & civic resources of the community.

2014 Grants Awarded

  • $1,000 – Camp Christy “Journey of Promise” 2. $1,000 – Western Kansas Child Advocacy Center “Protecting Our Children”
  • $1,000-Western Kansas Child Advocacy Center “Protecting Our Children”

2015 Grants Awarded

  • $650- K-State Research and Extension, Scott County “Girl, we got this! Empowering young ladies in 4-H!”
  • $1,031- Scott County Girl Scouts Troops “2017 Trip To Atlanta, Georgia”

2016 Grants Awarded

  • $788- K-State Research and Extension, Scott County “Sewing for Adults.”
  • $1,031- Scott County Girl Scouts Troops “Starter kits for all Girl Scouts/Leaders”
  • $1,031- Western Kansas Child Advocacy Center “Campus Safety for High School
    Girls and Moms
