Following the passing of Dylan, Amy, Chase, and Ansley Spencer in a tragic accident, the Spencer and Mitchell families wished to use a portion of the memorial donations to create a walking and biking trail in the Scott community.

This idea led to the Scott Community Foundation in partnership with the City of Scott City to begin to work together to help improve the lack of community interconnectivity and wellness in Scott City. This partnership as well as the family and friends of the Spencer family came together and help to create the Scott Community Walking Trail Project.

Walking Trail is currently completing the final phase of the project and is set to be finished this Spring!

Over the past 8 years, the first 5 phases have been completed, leaving only the final phase. The Scott Community Walking Trail is currently completing the final phase of the project and is set to be finished this Spring.

The walking trail includes more than 5 miles of trail and walkway that would connect vital areas of the community together with safe sidewalks and bike lanes, as well as provide community members with recreational biking and walking trails. For any questions regarding the walking trail, you can contact Ryan Roberts.
